Evaluation of 1965 Corvette Roadster

Silver Pearl, Black Top, Red Interior

Today we evaluated the general condition of a 1965 Corvette Roadster belonging to XXXXXXXX.  Our task was to assess every facet of the car and make recommendations regarding any areas of concern that were found.  The following are the results of that assessment:

Exterior

Overall condition of paint, exterior trim, lamps, lenses and weatherstrip are ABOVE-AVERAGE to EXCELLENT.  RH Headlight Door opening motor operates intermittently--recommend rebuild of headlight motor.

Engine Compartment

Timing chain cover shows very slight oil seepage--normal, no action required.  Brake master cylinder shows leakage at back of cylinder, possibly caused by overfilling reservoir.  Fluid level checked and area cleaned--observe to see if leak still evident over next week.  Upper and lower front control arm bushings showing normal wear--no action necessary at this time.  Power steering control valve showing normal seepage--no action necessary at this time.  

Engine

No issues found.  Compression tested at 160 to 170 lbs. on each cylinder.

Tires, Wheels and Brakes

All in excellent condition, no issues found.

Exhaust

Appears as-new--no issues found.

Drivability

Car operates as expected.  Tracks straight on level roads.  Stops straight and handles well.  No issues found.

Interior

Carpet, seats and door panels are as-new.  Gauges and all interior appliances function as expected.  No issues.

Comments

Overall, an exceptional car that surpasses the condition of most cars of this vintage that we have seen.
