The ARRL bureau is a monster of a resource that is available to all league members for sending QSL cards to DX countries. This service is not to be used for sending QSL cards to the 48 contiguous states. One thing to keep in mind is that there are many folks at the ARRL and elsewhere that volunteer their time to make this service available. All of us whom use this service owe each of them a huge debt of gratitude.

Back at the end of 2005 I was in a QSO with a couple of local amateur radio operators, AG4TO and W4REX, and we were discussing our bureau statistics. Since then I have kept a record of both the cards I have sent out and the ones that have come in.

These numbers indicate that on average I have sent out 81.88 cards each month for the last 69 months to the ARRL bureau. I have received 40.93 cards each month for the last 57 months from the ARRL bureau.
