A Hallicrafters microphone with an unknown Hallicrafters model number, year of manufacture and price when new. This microphone was made by Shure and is their model number 450. It has a blue Hallicrafters insignia on the front instead of the usual one by Shure. This microphone does not have the dual impedance(High/Low) switch on the bottom of the base as seen on other similar styles of Shure microphones.
The picture on the left is of the rear of the microphone, while the photograph on the right is of the right side. A common feature of the Shure microphone is for the tube body to be able to slide in and out of the base to increase the height of the microphone element. This holds true for this microphone as well.
These next two pictures are of the bottom of the microphone. Notice here that this microphone does not have the dual impedance(High/Low) switch on the bottom of the base as seen on other similar styles of Shure microphones. The base cover has a hole cut out of for the switch but neither the switch nor the circuitry was ever installed.
